Case Study – Huntsville (Nexus on Holmes)

🛠️ BEAMM Case Study – Nexus on Holmes (Huntsville, AL)

“From Crew Support to Execution Leadership”

🏙 Project Overview

  • Client: Capstone Interiors (via Smarter Furnishings)
  • Location: Nexus on Holmes – Huntsville, Alabama
  • Type: Phased student housing install
  • Timeline:
    • Phase 1: Initial install support
    • Phase 2: April 22 – May 2, 2025
  • Total Trucks: 11 across both phases
  • Scope: Full unit installs – beds, desks, dressers, mattresses, upholstered goods, and dining/counter tables
  • Crew Involvement:
    • Phase 1: BEAMM joined as supplemental labor
    • Phase 2: BEAMM returned with a larger crew and increased leadership role

🚧 Phase 1 – Ground-Level Support

In the first phase, BEAMM was brought in by Smarter Furnishings as support labor during an early install push at Nexus on Holmes. The mission was simple: help move product, set rooms, and keep the install on pace.

We worked alongside Smarter crews to install key furniture pieces across the property, including XL beds, desks, dressers, nightstands, and mattresses. Though BEAMM was not leading the job, our efficiency and professionalism left an impression.

We didn’t run the show — but we helped keep it from falling behind.

🚀 Phase 2 – Stepping Into Leadership (April 22 – May 2, 2025)

When BEAMM returned for Phase 2, it was a different story. We brought a larger crew, a bigger presence, and a stronger leadership role.

This time, we weren’t just muscle — we were managing install flow, coordinating with other teams, and ensuring product got installed right, fast, and clean.

We received and handled 11 trucks worth of freight:

  • 4 trucks of case goods
  • 4 trucks of upholstery
  • 2 trucks of mattresses
  • 1 truck with remaining/miscellaneous product

Assembly Scope Included:

  • Beds: Bolting legs and headboards to frames
  • Dining Tables: Full frame assembly
  • Counter Tables: Frame, legs, and caster assembly
  • Upholstery: Attaching legs to sofas, loveseats, and ottomans

To make it more fun:

  • It rained every single day
  • The install was cut two days shorter than planned
  • Saturday was added as a makeup day (originally no weekends)
  • And we still finished the job a full day early

Jane from Capstone Interiors called it â€śthe best install she had been on in a long time.”
