Case Study – Pigeon Forge

🛠️ BEAMM Case Study – Compass Hotel by Margaritaville (Pigeon Forge, TN)

🏨 Project Snapshot

  • Client: New Design Concepts (NDC)
  • Property: Compass Hotel by Margaritaville – Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
  • Type: Construction-phase freight assist
  • Duration: 5 working days
  • Crew:
    • 4-person BEAMM team
    • 3 team members from Smarter Furnishings
    • Contractor support from general trades on-site

🚧 Project Context

The Compass Hotel was still under construction when BEAMM arrived. Our role wasn’t to install furniture or stage guest rooms — it was to get extremely heavy freight off the trucks and into units quickly, safely, and efficiently.

Most items exceeded 300 pounds per piece â€” this wasn’t box lifting. It was a high-intensity, physical job in the middle of a live jobsite.

🧱 Field Conditions

  • Building still under active construction
  • No elevators online yet
  • Hallways cluttered with tools and materials
  • BEAMM worked around general contractors and crews on deadline
  • Worked long hours moving oversized furniture without powered lifts

đź’Ş What BEAMM Delivered

  • Unloaded and staged hundreds of pounds of freight daily across five days
  • Managed high-value furniture in active construction zones without damage
  • Coordinated placement with on-site GC to keep things flowing
  • Helped identify damaged or missing freight in real time
  • Supported packaging breakdown as needed, though final trash removal was handled after our exit

BEAMM wasn’t there to decorate. We were there to move heavy product under pressure — fast, clean, and safe.

âś… The Outcome

  • Full truck unloads completed daily with no rework or delay
  • Inventory delivered to units accurately
  • Zero damage incidents reported
  • BEAMM exited the project with all assigned units prepped for follow-on install teams
